So last night was RIDICULOUS. Halloween on college campuses is like nothing I have ever experienced before and pretty much equals debauchery in its highest and craziest form. I would go into more detail but to be perfectly honest, my memory from 11:00 last night to 7:00 this morning is a complete blank.
This weekend, I'm driving home to judge at a local theatre festival. The directors who put it on every year, Larry and Sue Wisdom, are a married couple and two of my favorite people in Texas theatre. They're also insanely talented and friends with my old high school theatre director, which is why they asked me to come and judge. It should be a lot of fun - and I'm so ready to go home. It's not just my family that I miss when I'm here, it's the town and the places. The irony of that is definitely not lost on me, because I spent so much of my time in Troup counting down the minutes until I could leave. I guess there really is no place like home, because I can't even describe how my heart leaps when I'm driving home and I see the town again. Is it Friday yet?!
Halloween pictures are up on Facebook, so I'm going to go look at those. Hopefully they'll help me piece my night back together.
